And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

Book Notes

Hi all,

As you may know the books are back from the printer and I have already sold several copies. Thanks to those who have purchased the book, I hope you enjoy it. I am planning a two hour DVD to help further explain the subject but that may take some time. In the meantime I thought I would post any clarifications I become aware of here.

This being my first book it was quite a learning experience and as hard as I tried to keep typos and grammar errors out of it several mistakes did make it into the final print. Most have been simple errors that should not cause readers to be confused so I am not especially concerned about those.

However, in the back of the book, in the charts section there is one that I need to point out. In the heading called "Christ's birth to the beginning of His ministry" (chart c) I have listed the dates under the heading as "Tishri 10th 5 BC to Tishri 10th 27 AD" This should read 26 AD not 27 AD.

I have started correcting the error with white-out before shipping so you can check your book to see if that has been done by me. If I shipped it before I was able to make the correction, please go back and do it yourself so there will be no confusion.

In the meantime, if you should see an area that might have another mistake please email me so I can be aware of it, also if you have any trouble following it and would like more answers just email me and we can talk about it. There is nothing more satisfying than studying the Gospel with someone who is genuinely concerned.

Thank you for your support and interest.

Blessings,
Jonn

Thank God for Prayer

Many of you know that I write stories for the Vchannel, which is a ministry that deals with the far out and unusual material such as aliens, bigfoot, ect. Much of the writing process deals with searching for unusual stories to begin with, which can be quite time consuming.

In this light I would like to reach out to those of you who would be interested in helping us in this unusual ministry. Do you know of any strange happenings that might make for an interesting story that could be used to draw someone to the truth of the gospel?

Just send me an email with links to a news article or story that you think might be of use to the ministry. My searching the Internet for these strange stories has inspired this short article that I would like to share with you now. Blessings.

COMMENTARY ON PRAYER

As I search the Internet for news stories appropriate to the theme of the Vchannel I can’t help but realize how very much we need prayer. The realization becomes more and more clear as I read the unending drivel that is posted in all comment sections surrounding alien and exotic stories.

As I read through said comments seeking for an angle upon which to focus the story I can not help but feel a lonely sensation as I am reminded that the entire world lies in wickedness and there is no way to stop it.

Even comments from well meaning Christians fail because the corresponding comment will usually attack and completely disagree with the posted truth, thus creating the evil energy that fuels the Dragonspeak.

As Christians there are but few ways we can engage these people and none through dialog. In Matthew 7:6 we are told “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

This is exactly what we see when we try to engage this world in its present state of degradation. Just as the Bible says, when you reach out to them they will rend your comments just as a pig would if you tossed a set of treasured family pearls into its pen.

Then it further dawns on me that this isn’t just in the strange and exotic world of aliens, which I am so often times wading through, but in all media and in all human contact. Even when the Lord sends us souls who will listen we have to be on guard not to slip into the devious and demonic traps of the Dragonspeak.

As the body of Christ we understand that we must be ready always to speak the truth but at no point can we safely engage this world in dialog. Thus our flesh is often looking for someone to talk to and more often than not there are zero options, because we are spiritual beings.

In this light prayer takes on a new meaning, no longer simply a means of asking for things but of someone to freely talk to. It becomes a stronghold, a place of safety free from the ridicule of the world. A place where your pearls are not trampled, instead when casting them forth they are tenderly collected and highly treasured by the recipient, who is God, who gave them to us in the first place.

We are strangers in a strange land and we have no hope except in Him, for in Him is life and He is the light of the world. John 8:12 says “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

So, while our flesh is still mired in the muck of this world, as we have not yet experienced the resurrection of life, it is good to know we have Someone who is always ready to listen and One who calls us “friends”.
