And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

Rejoice in Temptations

When, during our walk with God, he allows us to be tried and allows us to fall into temptations we should remember to consider it a time to be joyful.

As we are reminded, the Bible says in James 1:2-3

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."
As Satan brings these temptations before us and our flesh begins to lust in those sins that do so easily beset us, let us call on the name of Jesus and suffer the attack of the Devil with all joy.

Galatians 5:17 says

"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."
These times of temptation are difficult, we are drawn by the lusts of our flesh and we have NO hope without Christ. Our flesh is so weak to the temptations of the world or should we say the flesh is strong against the spirit during these times and the spirit must call out to Jesus.

In 2nd Corinthians we are told
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Remember, for his glory we are weak that we might call on his perfect strength. Praise the name of Jesus!
