And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

Times of Plenty

During times of plenty it is very easy to think that we do not need God. We have plenty of security, food and money during these times and we get to thinking that we are pretty important. We think we can go it alone without the need for God. But during hard times we come crying to God.

Our world is now entering one of these times of hardship. We should be grateful if the Lord is still waiting to accept us as we start to think of him again.

The Bible says in Amos 8:12

"And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it."
Now this was speaking of physical Israel but many of the things that were spoken of them were for examples to us as Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians 10:11
"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."
So be grateful if God is still there waiting on you. His patience is running thin with our world.

Of course many will not think of God even in these hard times. They will look to government and with a worldwide crisis such as the financial crisis; they will look to worldwide government, exactly the thing that God tells us will come about.

We are being manipulated in more ways than we know! We must place ALL our hope and faith in our Savior Christ Jesus to guide us through all the tricks and lies of Satan. God be with us!
