And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

Once in Grace?

When we talk with people who think they can pray one prayer and accept Jesus and then spend 30 years living like the devil remind them that not only is the gate straight but also the way is narrow.

In Matthew 7:13-14 the Bible says:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
This means we should walk the narrow path as we journey to the Straight Gate and we must remain on that path and live a repentant lifestyle if we ever hope to enter therein.

We can be grateful that the Lord is a loving God but we should also remember that he is a God of great wrath.

In Ecclesiastes 12:13 the Bible tells us
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
One of the biggest lies going is "once saved, always saved"? You are in terrible trouble if you believe once in grace doctrine and you spend your time watching ballgames and drinking in night clubs.

I submit to you that you haven't looked at the issue very much. You got a warm and fuzzy feeling when you read "I will never leave you or forsake you." Then you read "little known little required" and you figured that was a good place to stop. (Luke 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.)

More than likely you didn't read it at all, someone probably told you these things and you figured that was close enough.

It would be scary to know just how little time people spend studying the Word of God. How often do you read and study?

Now it is true that if you do not leave God then He will not leave you but that really isn't what we're talking about here is it?

You can try to say those that live in sin were never really saved to begin with but you must know your advice is giving them false hope when you tell them that once they make it in there is absolutely no way to be kicked back out again.

Imagine their surprise when they realize they misunderstood your advice, hopefully it won't be too late for them when they realize it.

You must be all the way in or all the way out. Remember, lukewarm gets spit out of his mouth.

Your choice.
