Consider for a minute if Jesus isn’t who he said he is then all our hope and faith is in vain. If Christ isn’t real then we are the most pathetic of men, of all men most miserable and foolish. We are weak, naïve and powerless.
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"
But if God is real and Christ is exactly who he said he is then we are the most blessed of people. The most loved, gifted and cherished by the great "I Am". We are people most powerful, to be set as judges over even the very angels of Heaven and will rule and reign with Christ for 1000 years.
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
And if you are confused by the things you are hearing in the world, do not forget that the only truth you will ever know is in the Holy Bible, the King James Version for those of us that speak English, the Bible tells us in Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
So everything you hear or have ever heard and believed about this sinful world is a lie. The only truth you know comes directly from the Bible. Don’t be lead astray by any man into any other doctrine. Therefore, I would caution those of you that study from the NIV.
There are a lot of sincere people who read the NIV that are truly seeking God, I understand that, but I believe that book has the potential to lead you astray and I would get rid of it and get an Authorized King James Version. The NIV is not a modern translation of the King James, written so you can understand it better.
You need to understand that it is simply not the same book, there have been many changes made to it and even whole verses left out. For instance go to Acts verse 8:37 and read it, ah but you can't. You can’t because it isn’t there; they left it out. Now go read Psalms 12:6-7
The KJV says: "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
The NIV says: "And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times. O Lord, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever."
Protect us from such people? What is that supposed to mean? You see, with the NIV, it is possible to be lead astray. If you are having trouble understanding the KJV then you need to pray for understanding as the Bible tells us.
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5
Have faith in God, that He is the one true God.
